Happy New Year!
I snapped the above shot as the sun was setting on December 31st. We were up north at the farm and it was a beautiful, although icy cold day.
It was a long weekend, unexpectedly so. Jess’ car had tire issues. The front tire already had a slow leak but this time when we got up north on Saturday night, the back tire started losing air like crazy. We switched to the spare and knew we wouldn’t be able to get it to our dealer – who happens to be up north anyways – until Monday. Monday came, we took it in and needed to order four brand spanking new tires as it is an all-wheel drive. It was an unexpected expenditure we had not anticipated. They had to order out the tires so we didn’t get home until Tuesday night. My poor mom had to be our chauffeur all weekend. It was like being a little kid again in a lot of ways!
Our snowblower is in the shop too so right off the top of the year we are spending a lot of money fixing things. LOL.
I still need to get the cards sent out as well as some packages. Please be patient. I promise to get those out. The last few days have been crazy. Today is the first day I’ve had a few hours to myself since the 21st. I spent it drinking tea and watching a couple episodes of the first season of Homeland. I’m finally on the first of the last two episodes. 🙂
I hope you are all staying warm and enjoying 2014 thus far!
