The way we nourish ourselves determines our ability to shine our light in the world. And nourishment doesn’t just come in the form of food and drink and sunshine; it’s equally important to nourish your spirit.

What made your soul feel most nourished this year?

I prayed. When it all came crumbling down around me, I prayed.

I read. I fed my soul through books.

I meditated. I closed my eyes and let the world slip away for a while.

I hugged trees and felt their warmth energize and nourish my spirit.

I cuddled with my daughter and felt my husband’s arms around us and knew that everything would be okay.

And then I watched “Gilmore Girls” which always takes me to a happy place. 🙂

  1. It is a great thing to have even the littlest things to help, and it sounds like you have a few big things mixed in there as well. Good days lie ahead, I am sure of it.

  2. Ahhh, your entire post feels like a happy dance, dear one. Love the vibe you created here. Hey, is Like Water for Chocolate good? I just finished A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and absolutely love it. I can’t stop telling people how great it is… I just wish I had started reading it sooner!
