Day 2. Biggest Lie.
Sometimes the truth does not set you free. Sometimes it causes a tidal wave of destruction that can never be repaired and there comes a time when a decision must be made one way or another – a decision that will end up saving something bigger than yourself.
So you lie. You take the fall.
You walk away. A jagged saw tears across your skin as you let go – it hurts like hell. Sure, the pain does fade away (years later) but these scars are visible forever – just so you never forget – no matter how hard you try. You can’t. Those memories linger. The worst part is looking back on the good times and realizing they are now permanently locked away in the past and that is where they must stay.
You know in the end that what you did – the lie you told, the price you paid – served a higher purpose and that after all is said and done – everyone is better off.
