#reverb12 Day 4: How will you celebrate YOU?
The color green
flavor – mint
time of day – twilight
and time of year oh that’s easy – Fall
temperatures dip my energy soars
pumpkins abound and the corn stalks rattle like
dried up skeletons in the garden.
windy nights and creaking trees, the full moon
peeking down from above.
rolling down hills ’til I’m dizzy and giggling
covered in grass and twigs.
the first snowfall so fresh, so pure
the world hushes in awe.
taking pictures of the world around me
a passion developing in earnest.
coffee coffee coffee
drink of choice since I was three.
ketchup and pickles – must-haves
and A-1 Steak Sauce too – for rice.
chips and salsa – a weakness.
cherry tomatoes right from the vine
my mom’s swiss steak, cream peas, baby red potatoes – my birthday meal of choice
raspberry jam and lots of peanut butter on toast
or honey butter all by itself – with coffee, of course.
poetry. always poetry. so many to admire
mary oliver for sure – food for my soul.
music, yes – preferably from the 30’s and 40’s
chickadees and whippoorwills, crickets and frogs
all delightful sounds to me
Anne of Green Gables, Gilmore Girls, & Pride & Prejudice (BBC version).
make me happy and thrill me to bits
but what I get a kick out of most is –
making people laugh and being silly just because.
that is what truly gives me joy.
This is me.
