A Chill In the Air

I love these sort of days where there’s a chill in the air and you need to don a sweater and grab the wooly socks. The evenings are nippy – deliciously so – and the shadow of night pushes its way into the day. I am relishing this cooler weather. My energy is up again and I feel renewed.

Right now, we are nearing twilight time. It has always been my favorite part of the day, especially so during Autumn. It’s almost magical. There’s this tinge of mystery and electricity in the air.

It is also the “cozy time” of day where families come together after work and school – sit around the dinner table, curl up on their sofa under a warm blanket, sip hot cocoa or pumpkin chai as they enjoy each other’s company.

I wish you warm Autumn hugs on these delightfully chilly days and hope you have a chance to enjoy something pumpkiny delicious!

  1. For the first time in a very long time, I am in complete agreement with you. I think this is because I got a very nice hand knitted sweater for my birthday, and it made me want to wear it all the time.

It just makes me feel cool. I don’t know. I’m with you on fall this year, though. Hopefully we’ll get some pretty trees, even with the dry summer.

  2. I remember when we found out about our shared love of autumn one spring two years ago. We started counting down to pumpkin and morning chill season. This is my first real autumn in three (!) years and I’m cherishing every minute of it, Tracy. I think about you when I pull out a cardigan to wear, drink a pumpkin-cinnamon drink, or watch the leaves turn. Cheers to fall beauty, and to savoring every minute of the slow shift of seasons…

    • Roxanne! I remember that well! I’m so delighted you are able to enjoy autumn this year here! I wish we could get together! Cheers to you! We must figure out a way to see each other while you are stateside! HUGS!
