And So, I Crochet… #augustbreak

I don’t want to think right now. I just want to keep my hands busy.

So, I crochet.

Today I make handkerchiefs and washcloths. I find comfort in the steady, rhythmic repetition. I let it occupy my mind so my thoughts don’t take over.

My heart hurts right now. Tears stand at the ready if I let my guard down even just one tiny bit.

So, I crochet.

  1. This is what got me knitting and kept me doing it–pain. The rhythmic movements hypnotized me and got me through the months after I lost my mother. I’m glad to know this urge lives in you, too. Sending love to you, Tracy.
