A Hotchpotch of All Things Inky

Oh you have absolutely no stinking idea how much I love things like this. Consider yourself warned as this is the post that might never end.
Just kidding.
I think…
😉
Okay. So my dear friend Mark over at Aggaspletch tagged me in his most delicious post about random fun things we more than likely didn’t know about him but are all too glad we do now. 😉
Now it’s my turn to spill the beans on my zany old self and see if I can horrify you all more than I already have! Ha!
Once I’m done, I get to tag a bunch of people and then come up with some crazy or not so crazy questions (depends how you look at it), throw out my line and see if anyone bites!
          ***
Here are the rules:
The Rules:
1. Post these rules
2. You must post 11 random things about yourself
3. Answer the questions set for you in the post you were tagged in
4. Create 11 new questions for your tagees to answer
5. Tag them on Twitter, Facebook or your blog (or all of the above)

ELEVEN RANDOM – or not so random – THINGS ABOUT INKYTWIG:
1. I like the smell of skunk (some of you already know that). I’m not sure if it is because I was sprayed by one when I was about three years old. It’s just a pleasant scent to me – but not if it is wet skunk.
2. I have been known to dip pickles in ice cream and/or chocolate (chocolate strata pie) AND NO I AM NOT PREGNANT!  It’s yummy! Don’t judge! 😛
3. I can gut a deer. Although it has been a long time since I’ve gone hunting and had to gut one out. And no, it does not gross me out at all!
4. I was a television news producer until I became a stay-at-home mom.
5. I love listening to Polka (it’s just so dang happy!)
6. When I was a little girl, I used to pretend John Wayne was my grandpa because I just freaking adored the man. I was devastated when he died.
7. Never sit next to me when watching a Rocky movie. My husband tells me I get a little too “into” the movie… Hey! What? Rocky I, II, III, IV and the last one (skip V) are my all-time favorite movies! LOVE Stallone!
8. I really enjoy a good pickle and mayo sandwich.
9. Every year on my birthday I try to eat something I have never had before which isn’t always easy unless I’m traveling. This isn’t to say I don’t try new things all the time – because I do. I LOVE trying new foods but on my birthday, I actively seek out things I’ve never had before – only with more vigor.
10. I used to work in a fire tower (a little cab about 100 feet in the air that I had to climb a ladder to get up into) in the springtime for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
11. I also like the smell of mothballs. They remind me of my grandma (my mom’s mom). It’s a very pleasant memory for me as I adored her.

Here are Mark’s questions and my answers (to the best of my ability!)

  1. What’s your favorite way to enjoy bacon? On a BLT or candied.
  2. Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate?DARK but not too dark and preferably with mint or caramel.
  3. Name the one book you could have with you if you were stuck in an elevator over the weekend?Hmmm…not sure I understand the question exactly. The book I’m reading right now is “Da Vinci’s Ghost” Toby Lester so that would be with me in an elevator. If you are asking what book would I most want to be stuck in an elevator with over the weekend, it would be a book on how to get the hell out of or fix a broken/stranded elevator. LOL!
  4. What is your favorite song that would embarrass the heck out of you if anyone knew? You know, I don’t really have one that I’d be embarrassed about. I like what I like. I’m not really afraid to admit it. I have my reasons and if someone else thinks it’s odd well, that’s their problem, not mine.  I know that’s kind of a snarky sounding answer. I don’t mean it to be. I like off-beat things and most everyone knows that about me so, there it is. LOL! 😀
  5. First name of the first person you kissed in a non-family sort of way.OMG. I do not remember his name. It was at college… Yes. I was a late bloomer.
  6. If you had it all to do over again, would you?Heck no.
  7. If you were going to buy me lunch, where would it be?Anywhere? Oooh, fun! City Tavern in Philadelphia
  8. If I was going to buy YOU lunch, where would it be?Sorry, has to be City Tavern in Philadelphia. LOVE that place!
  9. Which is scarier, spiders?  Snakes? Clowns?Depends. Spiders not so much scary as creepy, snakes – definitely give me the willies and clowns – depends if they are at the circus or just popping up out of nowhere. If they are popping up out of nowhere then I am definitely scared!
  10. Favorite movie made from a Stephen King book?Silver Bullet
  11. What do you want to be if you grow up?Oh boy. I wanted to be several things. I wanted to be a journalist (Walter Cronkite was my idol), a country singer, an archaeologist, lawyer…I could go on and on…
  12. Bonus, Extra Credit, Only if you Wanna: What’s your favorite song by Boz Scaggs?“Look What You’ve Done to Me”  — I’m a sucker for the ballads

  1. 😀 Thanks for the tag! I was nervous reading your list of questions because I worried some of them might cross over with scintilla prompts! But I am safe *whew* and I will answer them sometime this week.

Have you tried chocolate with sea salt yet? I have given it to several people over the past year and they always love it. It doesn’t sound good in theory but TRY it.

    1. Hey Kim, yes I have! The chocolate with caramel and sea salt is very nice! There isn’t much with chocolate we haven’t tried. LOL! I can’t wait to read YOUR responses. Heh hehe!

  2. I wrote the beginning of what was going to be my response a few days ago and then completely forgot about it. I might get back to it, I might not… we’ll see.

This post made me smile, Tracy. You’re wondeful!

I’ll admit, I have to look up Captain and Tennille. 😉
