Soft glow of lights cascading from the windows onto the snow, a house full of laughter as loved ones gather together. The crinkling and crackling of wrapping paper as presents are opened and that look of delight when they see what they’ve received. The twinkling of lights from the Christmas tree, the giggles and joy of a child in awe of the wonders of the season, listening to Christmas Polkas (insert your own music here) as we drive around admiring the lights, the heady scent of pine, balsam and spruce. Hot cocoa with marshmallows. Mittens, scarves, crocheted hats, sweaters and thick wool socks, letters to Santa, peppermint flavored anything, candy canes, standing outside in the snow and catching snowflakes on the tongue, warm, loving hugs, mistletoe, Humpy Camel Juice, and above all – remembering the birth of Jesus who so long ago came to us for a reason.
Merry Christmas to you, my wonderful friends!
