Your Personal Message by Eric Handler
To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men, that is genius. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
What is burning deep inside of you? If you could spread your personal message RIGHT NOW to 1 million people, what would you say?

Where to begin?
It’s not about telling others what to do, how to live, be or act.
It’s about inspiring, encouraging and lifting up those who are down – who need to be reminded of their own unique identity, their place in this world and that yes, they do indeed matter. YOU DO matter.
It’s about returning hope to those who have lost their way. Hope is the sunshine of our existence. Loss of hope means to plunge headlong into darkness and to lose one’s way.
That is not acceptable in this life.
It’s not about how rich or poor you are. It’s not about that which we have accumulated in this life. It’s not about our “station” in society. Peel away all the external layers until we are all back the way we entered this life and we are all the same. We are human.
It’s about what we are doing with ourselves that is important.
Too many have lost their way or have just given up. Too many are floundering in a sea of self-doubt and self-recrimination. Too many, too many cannot, will not see their truth. They are either blind to it or they have turned their back on it. Who is there for them? Who is there to remind them, strip away the blinders and get them to look into themselves for all that is possible?
I believe that even those of us, such as myself who are filled with self-doubt – if we reach beyond – outside ourselves – beyond our personal perimeters and help others – help one another through encouragement, positive support and the renewal of hope, we not only help a fellow human being, we help ourselves.
If we were to spread that amazing potential around and if everyone were able to see their true worth, that they – that every one of you – of us – is fantastically special in our own unique way and that we have an unlimited capacity to make and affect change for the good, there isn’t anything we couldn’t do.
But the first step is reaching out. It’s that initial smile. It’s a simple gesture of kindness to another person you might not even know. We don’t know each other’s starting points in life but we do know where we stand at this precise moment and with that knowledge comes the realization that it is never too late. It is never too late to change the course of our lives and begin again in some way, shape or form.
It’s about hope.
