One of Those Weeks

It’s been one of those weeks. I wouldn’t say it is a bad thing but it definitely not something I want to repeat on a regular basis. Thank goodness birthdays come but once a year. As fun as they are they wreak havoc on the body, the workouts, the diet, the writing schedule, etc…

And now on top of that, my three-year-old and I have colds. Isn’t that fun? I did manage to get in a few workouts this week along with a couple short “spurts” of exercise but nothing like I usually do. So I’m not exactly thrilled with myself but given all the things that are going on in the world at this moment, I will not complain as I have it pretty darn good. Still, I will forego the usual weekly kettle bell update and say just this, I am using the 30 pounder more and the 18 less so that is a good thing. On the downside, my 30lb kettlebell that is NOT, I repeat, NOT a Dragon Door kettlebell is already chipping and I have not dropped it, nicked it or done anything other than swing it. The 18lb Dragon Door kettlebell is still in awesome condition – no surprise there. Let that be a lesson to you – Dragon Door kettlebells rock.

Here’s hoping you all have a pretty darn good weekend full of all the things you enjoy and look forward to followed by a week loaded with energy, inspiration, creativity and accomplishment – no matter how big or small.

Enjoy! 🙂

  1. I feel you on it being one of “those” weeks. But, you always have to try to see the positive in things. Were you reminded how precious life is? How wonderful other weeks that seemed worse actually were? Did you get to hug someone you love? Did the sun shine? Why is life so great? Why do you face opposition with hope and determination? Why will next week be the best workouts you have had so far? Why will your weekend be healthy and safe?

I hope you had a Happy Birthday, and that joy, love, and light, and God’s many blessings flow to you and the little rascals (the little and the big one HA HA) in your home (and to all those whom you love) abundantly!!!!

    Talk to you VERY soon!

  2. I don’t think I wasn’t seeing the positive in my post. It wasn’t a dreary outlook or feeling. It was just an observation. Birthdays can sort of run the best laid plans amok. You are such a brat.
