Happy November! Happy NaNoWriMo 2010! I hope you had a wonderful Halloween! We were treated to a nasty case of colds in my house so no trick or treating this year. But I did whip up a big pot of chicken soup and it seems we are on the mend (I hope)! My (soon to be) three-year-old was hit hard and fast with this cold but she appears to be feeling better. I need to make sure I get my rest so I don’t crash as I often do when someone else is sick. My immune system is not top rate.
So anyway, I just want to wish a hearty good luck to everyone who is participating in NaNoWriMo this year! Mmmmm, I can smell the coffee percolating already! The delicious aroma of freshly ground coffee beans will be wafting throughout many a household in the coming days and weeks, I’m sure. I know it will be in my house! I’m looking forward to my usual late night Starbucks runs for quadruple espresso and pounding out my frustrations on the treadmill while I get my daily workout in – all part of maintaining sanity during this month of write or die fever!
My outline is not as polished as I hoped it would be but you know what? I’m just going to wing it and write. I’ll worry about all that other “stuff” later. I have an idea. I have some thoughts jotted down. I know WHERE I want to go with the story and how I want it to end, so there is that. I’m excited. I’m motivated and I am looking forward to seeing what I produce! I hope you are raring to go as well. I hope you’ll chime in and let me know how it is going for you as the month progresses.
Good luck! Happy writing and may your pens be blazing as the flames of creativity ignite!
