What is your starter fluid? What prompts your writing? What kindles your writing spirit so much so that it grows into a raging inferno of creativity?
We all have good days and bad days. As for the bad days, there’s usually something we can do to fan those creative flames and send our writing into overdrive.
Inspiration, be it the right music, a piping hot cup of tea or reading something that stokes the mind fuel, can come from anywhere and when we least expect it. The important thing is that we allow ourselves to be open to it. Otherwise, those special promptings will wither and fade away, at least for the time being.
So what is your starter fluid? What gets you going? Are you all out and in need of refueling? Then do something about it. Find a way to recharge those creative batteries. Take a walk, read a book, do something that absolutely tickles you and makes you feel truly alive.
Then, when you are ready, sit down and write!
